Value Adding of a Product Line for the Instrumentation Industry

Alongside the recognized metal fabrication and production redesign services available at Agwey Metal; we are dedicated to offering our customers a host of additional services. In the project outlined here, a customer in the instrumentation industry contracted us to perform multiple services to add value to their product offering. Utilizing state-of-the-art in-house machinery including stamping presses, spot welder, tumblers, and Bridgeport equipment, a variety of advanced procedures were applied to their existing products. Composed of stainless steel, Ni-Span material, and carpenter 450 stainless steel, the 3" by 4" units were subjected to punching, reaming, countersinking, and assembly with spot welding, as well as ancillary processes including heat treating, painting, and deburring. Tight tolerances of ± 0.002" were held throughout manufacturing.
We process 1200 to 1500 parts annually for this customer, shipped as agreed to New England after a turnaround time of 2 to 3 weeks. For more details about this product line modification, or the other assembly capabilities and cost saving value added services we provide please see the table below or contact us directly.
