Agwey’s goal is to provide customers with a smooth transition from prototype to production. We offer support through the whole process to create an efficient, cost-effective production run. A customer was seeking to convert their short run prototypes to production run volume. We designed their process, including new tooling. The fabrication of this product employed our advanced press brake and waterjet equipment, whereupon 0.055″ thick aluminum material was manipulated to the customer specified configurations while holding tight tolerances.
We were able to take a product that had an initial output of 250 units and revamp the process to realize a current volume of 4,000 units per month. As a result of this successful conversion, the customer saved in tooling cost, and a lowering of overall product costs..
